Crankcase Ventilation Filters

The crankcase ventilation filter is an important component in the engine crankcase ventilation system. It is mainly used to filter the gas discharged from the crankcase to prevent oil mist, dust and other pollutants from entering the intake system or being discharged into the atmosphere.

1. Filter oil mist; When the engine is working, oil mist will be generated in the crankcase. The ventilation filter can separate and filter these oil mists to prevent them from entering the intake system or being discharged into the atmosphere.

2. Prevent pollutants; The filter can prevent pollutants such as dust and particles from entering the crankcase to protect the internal cleanliness of the engine.

3. Reduce emissions; By filtering harmful gases, the emission pollution of the engine is reduced to meet environmental protection requirements.

1. When the engine is working, pressure will be generated in the crankcase, and the ventilation system will discharge this part of the gas (including oil mist and exhaust gas).

2. The oil mist and particulate matter are filtered or separated when the gas through the ventilation filter, and the clean air is reintroduced into the intake system or discharged into the atmosphere.

Working principles

1. Open ventilation filter; The filtered gas is discharged directly into the atmosphere, usually used for old engines.

2. Closed ventilation filter; Reintroduces filtered gas into the engine intake system for secondary combustion to reduce emission pollution.

1. Crankcase ventilation filters need to be checked and replaced regularly to ensure that they work properly.

2. If the filter is clogged or fails, it may cause problems such as increased crankcase pressure, oil leakage, and reduced engine performance.

1. Blockage;  The filter may be clogged with sludge and dust after long-term use, affecting the ventilation performance.

2. Oil leakage; , oil mist may enter the intake system if the filter fails causing poor engine combustion or excessive emissions.

Crankcase ventilation filters are widely used in internal combustion engine equipment such as cars, trucks, and construction machinery, and are an important part of modern engine emission control systems.
