Main functions
Transmission Oil Filters
The transmission oil filter is an important component in the transmission system. It is used to filter impurities and contaminants in the transmission oil to ensure the normal operation of the transmission and extend its service life. While lubricating, cooling and cleaning the internal parts of the transmission, the transmission oil will gradually accumulate metal debris, dust and other impurities. The function of the filter is to filter these impurities and keep the oil clean.
1. Filter impurities; remove metal particles, dust and other contaminants in the transmission oil to protect the internal parts of the transmission.
2. Protect the transmission; reduce the wear of impurities on key components such as clutch plates, gears and valve bodies, and extend the life of the transmission.
3. Maintain performance; ensure that the transmission oil is clean and maintain the smoothness of the gear shift and transmission efficiency of the transmission.
Types
Maintenance and replacement
Notes
1. Internal filter; installed inside the transmission, usually integrated with the oil pan or valve body, and the oil pan needs to be removed when replaced.
2. External filter; installed outside the transmission, usually connected by screw or buckle, which is more convenient to replace.
1. Filter element; The core part, usually made of filter paper, synthetic fiber or metal mesh, and is responsible for filtering impurities.
2. Shell; Protects the filter element, usually made of metal or plastic, and is oil-resistant and pressure-resistant.
3. Seal; Ensures the seal between the filter and the gearbox to prevent oil leakage.
4. Inlet and outlet; Connects the gearbox oil circuit to ensure that the oil through the filter smoothly.
1. Recommended; Usually replaced every 40,000 to 80,000 kilometers, depending on the vehicle usage and manufacturer's recommendations.
2. Replacement timing; If there is a shifting setback, abnormal gearbox noise or blackening of the oil, it may need to be replaced in advance.
1. Use filters and gearbox oil that meet vehicle specifications.
2. Avoid touching your skin or eyes during replacement.
3. Dispose of old filters and oil in accordance with environmental protection.
4. If you are not familiar with, It is recommended to be operated by professionals
Regularly changing the transmission oil filter helps maintain transmission performance and reliability and avoids failures caused by fluid contamination.
