The oil filter is an important component in the lubrication system of an internal combustion engine. It is mainly used to filter impurities, metal particles, carbon deposits and other pollutants in the oil to ensure the cleanliness of the oil, thereby protecting the internal parts of the engine and extending its service life.

Oil Filters

Main functions

1. Filter impurities; The oil carries metal debris, dust and carbon deposits inside the engine during the circulation process. The oil filters can effectively filter these pollutants to prevent them from causing wear to the engine.

2. Maintain lubrication effect; Clean oil can better lubricate the internal parts of the engine and reduce friction and wear.

3. Extend the life of the oil; The service life of the oil can be extended and the replacement frequency can be reduced by filtering pollutants

Types

According to the filtering method and installing structure, oil filters can be divided into:

1.The full-flow filter; The most common type, all oil must pass through the filter before entering the engine.

2. The partial flow filter; Only part of the oil pass through the filter and it usually used in conjunction with a full-flow filter.

3. Spin-on filter; One-piece design, easy to replace, widely used in modern cars.

4. Replaceable filter element; The filter element can be replaced separately and the shell can be reused.

The replacement of the oil filter is usually synchronized with the oil change, generally every 5,000 to 10,000 kilometers or every 6 months, depending on the use of the vehicle and the manufacturer's recommendations. FOCUSFilter can provide customized products, offering oil filters with replacement intervals of 5000 kilometers, 10000 kilometers, 30000 kilometers, or even 60000 kilometers according to your needs.

1.Choose the right model; Different vehicles have different specifications for oil filters. You need to choose the correct model according to the user manual.

2.Regular replacement; Failure to replace the filter for a long time will cause the filter element to become blocking, affecting the flow of oil and further affecting engine performance.

3. Pay attention to sealing during installation; When replacing the filter, make sure the seal is in place to avoid oil leakage.
